100 g Breadcrumbs
40 g Extra virgin olive oil
Fine salt to taste
Parsley to taste
Thyme to taste if desired
Marjoram to taste if desired
Black pepper to taste if desired
Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO
Prepare the breading by mixing the breadcrumbs with the olive oil and finely chopped parsley (you can add other herbs such as marjoram or thyme if you like). Clean the scallops and coat them in the breadcrumb mixture prepared previously.
Arrange them on an oven tray, with the shell as the base in order to easily cook the scallops with the breadcrumb mixture. Then bake everything in a preheated oven at 190°C for approximately 15 minutes; as soon as a golden crust has formed, the scallops au gratin will be ready.
Serve on a plate with a drizzle of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO.
